Leopoldo and Everardo Gout are directors, writers, producers...and brothers. Together they started Calabazitaz (Tender Squash), an art group and production company in Mexico City, 12 years ago.
Everardo is set to direct his own independent feature, "Days of Grace," in Mexico this year. In addition, the brothers are set to co-direct "Godiva," a feature film for Lakeshore Entertainment.
New York-based Leopoldo wrote and directed "Little Spirit: Christmas in New York," a CGI special that aired on NBC this past December. He also is an author : His novel "Ghost Radio" was published in October 2008; and "Dangerous Days of Daniel X," a graphic novel he co-wrote with best-selling author James Patterson, was published in December 2008. Leopoldo is a key executive with James Patterson Entertainment, which has a co-production deal with Curious to develop Patterson-authored young-adult titles into animated motion media. He was named a partner in Curious Pictures in late 2008. |
