Shyam Madiraju is a former agency creative (Chiat Day, Martin Agency,Goodby Silverstein) turned director. He founded his own production company, Gobsmack!,in 2009 as a brand-centric live action, design, animation, and web content company with offices in Mumbai, Santa Monica--and now through Curious Pictures, in New York.
Madiraju, who is based in Santa Monica, began his advertising career in India after graduating from the College of Art in Delhi, where he was born. Since becoming a director in 2006 when he first joined Anonymous Content, he has won several prestigious awards, including the Kodak Young Directors Award at Cannes. "Shots" named him one of the top international directorial talents to watch in 2006. |
